Empowering Journeys: EBTN&R's Community Impact on EBTV

We, at East Brunswick TNR & Rescue, are thrilled to share our feature on EBTV, which showcases the significant impact of our work in the community. This special segment on EBTV explores our mission and the accomplishments we’ve achieved, emphasizing our unwavering commitment to animal welfare and engaging with the community. Viewers will discover the essential role we fulfill in East Brunswick, from our trap-neuter-return initiatives to our efforts in educational outreach, all designed to nurture a compassionate and well-informed community.

We understand the urgent and continuous needs of the outdoor cat community, and we’re dedicated to providing the necessary resources to ensure their safety and wellbeing. Our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program helps control the local feral cat population in a humane and effective way, while our rescue services work tirelessly to give every cat the chance for a healthier, happier life.

Each cat we assist is provided with shelter, a comprehensive medical examination, and vital spay/neuter surgery, followed by a return to their familiar outdoor environment or adoption into a loving home. With your help, we can change the future for these beautiful, resilient creatures.

Our compassionate team is always here to provide guidance, answer your questions, and discuss how we can support your specific outdoor cat needs. Whether you’ve spotted a stray, are interested in volunteering, or simply need advice, do not hesitate to get in touch! Together, we can make East Brunswick a safe haven for all cats.

Our Mission

To reduce the community cat population of East Brunswick through TNR, providing low-cost spay/neuter resources for owned cats, and rescue of outdoor kittens and friendly cats to enhance the quality of life of community cats and East Brunswick residents alike.

Ferals, Strays, and Community Cats

Community cats are unowned, free-roaming cats that live outdoors. They can be known as strays or ferals. Strays typically are used to being around humans while feral cats are not used to human touch and will avoid contact at all costs.

Feral cats can be born outside or can be pets that when lost or abandoned have reverted back to their feral state. Community cats are not homeless. They can live happy, healthy lives outdoors.

The outdoors is their home and is where they are most content. Community cats are found in every community across the country, across the world, in every landscape. If you would like to help community cats, the best thing you can do for them is to TNR them.
